We had a full house, with attendees not only from all parts of Pennsylvania but with out of state guests from as far as Florida!

The morning started off with the discussion on how to define your goals, chart your course carefully, and dedicate yourself completely. Also discussed, was how to effectively use skill sets and how to utilize resources.

After lunch, the second half of the workshop was dedicated to the discussion of representation, protocols for approaching a representing entity, pricing strategies and much more. The afternoon closed with and in-depth Question and Answer session.

We have already received lots of positive feedback from our first Ani Art Academies workshop. Thank you for making our Ani Artists Summer Workshop Series a success!

One of our guests, Slade Wheeler, wrote an excellent review about “The Art of the Profession.” To read the blog post, visit his website at: http://sladewheeler.blogspot.com/

Next up in the Ani Artists Summer Workshop Series is Rodney O’Dell Davis with the Language of Drawing Clinic. For more information about upcoming workshops, please visit the Ani Waichulis website at: http://aniwaichulis.com/

Participating artists include: Juliette Aristides, Jacob Collins, Tony Curanaj, Douglas Flynt, Greg Gandy, Carin Gerard, Sarah K. Lamb, Steven J. Levin, Jeremy Mann, Jacob A. Pfeiffer, Anthony Waichulis, and Will Wilson among many others.

The “Still Life” exhibit begins Friday, April 19th and runs through May 11th, 2013. Reception for the Artists is Friday, April 19th, 6:00 to 8:00 P.M.

The John Pence Gallery is located at 750 Post Street, San Francisco California. P. (415) 441-1138. Gallery hours are Monday-Friday 10 pm to 6 pm and Saturday 10 AM to 5 pm. For more information about the gallery and this current exhibit please visit their website at www.johnpence.com.

Bloginity, an independent online forum dedicated to individuals who are shaping the cultural footprint of our generation, released an impressive review of opening day of the exhibit which featured works from Ani Art Academies artists. The article discusses the nine pieces of art that found a home by the end of the day, and the high volume of traffic in and out of the gallery (estimated at over 700) caused the elevators to malfunction. Old and young alike, guests climbed up eight flights of stairs throughout the day to catch a glimpse of The Big Gamble.

Throughout the month, Bloginity will be posting articles to learn more about the Ani artists. Be sure to check their website at: http://www.bloginity.com/

Ani Art Academies would like to thank Bloginity for a wonderful article about the show. To read the full article, please follow the link: http://www.bloginity.com/2013/04/big-gamble-estimate-700-people-attended-opening-exhibition/

The crowds kept coming in all day long. The show was open for 7 hours and reached over 700 people in attendance. In his blog, Howard Rehs said they stopped counting people attending by 4 p.m. Even though the elevators were down for majority of the day, people walked up the 8 flights of stairs to see the show.
